Last years gender education becomes a point at the issue of teachers all more frequent.
One of fundamental principles of democratic society of Sweden there is equality on the sign of floor (gender equality), which is interpreted as follows: men and women possess identical rights, duties and equal possibilities in an order to have work, providing financial independence, independently to conduct a household and care of children, to deal in politics, trade-union and municipal activity.
Principle of equality on the sign of floor found the reflection in all of normative acts in regard to schools and gymnasium, in the system of education: and in Law on education, both in curricula and in the different programs of teaching — and spreads on all of teaching and educational activity in them.
So, in a curriculum for obligatory public school 1994 specified, that schools owe actively and purposefully to diffuse among young people the ideas of equality of rights and equal possibilities for men and women, to counteract in everyday practice all of displays of discrimination on the sign of floor, inherent some traditional methods of teaching and education, and to provide studying identical possibilities for teaching and development of the capabilities regardless of their floor.
And in a curriculum it is marked for educational establishments of the system of voluntarily formation of 1994, that must be in every way encouraged student in their aspiring to self-development, eliminating every prejudices, related to imaginary inequality on the sign of floor here.
In the second article of the I chapter of Law on education specified, that all of children and teenagers in Sweden, regardless of their floor, place of residence, and also social and financial position, have identical possibilities of teaching in the system of public school education.
For realization in a most degree of principle of equality on the sign of floor in area of education the Swedish state set the followings tasks:
State administration school education periodically conducts an estimation that, how realized in practice in educational establishments of setting of the state on achievement of veritable equality of rights on the sign of floor. Different subdivisions of management are engaged in collection and treatment of such information and distribution of front-rank experience among educational establishments of country.
In the educational programs of European Soyuza «Socrates» and «Leonardo da Vinci» the special attention the question of equality of rights is spared on the sign of floor in the systems of obligatory and voluntarily education. Most priority within the framework of these programs is consider projects aimed at further development of equal rights and possibilities for men and women in all of spheres of human activity.
