In 2002, ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association, launched a global event to celebrate the art of animation. October 28th was proclaimed as International Animation Day, commemorating the first public performance of Emile Reynaud's.

To celebrate International Animation Day 2007 on Sunday 28th October at 3.30pm we’ll be screening a selection of Polish Animation entitled The Golden Age, which includes the award winning The Labyrinth by Jan Lenica. There’ll also be a two hour Stop Motion Animation Workshop from 11.00am-1.00pm, suitable for over 5s. Workshop places are limited and should be pre-booked.
