Double world champion in the races of class Formula-1 Finnish pilot of Mika Hakkinen declared completion of the sporting career.
In 1998 and 1999 years Mika Hakkinen won championship of Formula-1, coming forward in composition McLaren. At the end of season of 2001 a finn already announced completion of racing career, promising no longer to sit down for the helm of sporting car, but in 2004 Hakkinen made a decision to go back into avtosport.
Hakkinen came forward in the basket series of DTM during three years, from 2005 to 2007, but did not obtain successes, similar that for him were in Formula-1.
In the total on the autosporting holiday of Mercedes, which took a place on Saturday, on November, 3, he declared that finally leaves from races. Before it the Finnish pilot accomplished model arrival on the machine of McLaren-Mercedes MP4-13, on which in 1998 first became the champion of Formula-1.
"A decision to go away from races was given me it is uneasy, because competitions in my blood, but in 39 years it is time to say sport "good-bye". Certainly, in separate autosporting shows I will participate for the sake of the pleasure, but in serious competitions – no", – declared Mika of Hakkenen.
